​Sven Bulterijs has studied biochemistry and biotechnology at the University of Ghent (Belgium) and has worked as a postgrad researcher in the lab of David Spiegel at Yale University. He serves as the CEO of Aging Analytics, a company specialized in analysing the longevity biotech industry. In 2009 he co-founded Heales, the largest European non-governmental organization working on promoting longevity. He continues to serve as the co-president and CSO of Heales.
